Vanessa Joy & Marvin Goldstein in Concert

Pianist Marvin Goldstein and vocalist Vanessa Joy have announced a performance on Tuesday, October 6, at 7 p.m. at the Romance Theater at 2 E. Main Street, Rexburg, Idaho. The concert will include pre-show performances from local vocalists McKinley Rose Judd and Aidyn Kunz. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at tetonriverarts.org.
The concert will feature a variety of audience favorites across genres, with a mix of Celtic melodies, familiar folk tunes, modern hits, Broadway favorites and more.
Goldstein and Joy have been performing together for 16 years after a chance meeting at a music business seminar. They recently returned from a tour through Spain where they performed their “Peace through Music” program, which aims to bridge cultural, religious, and political differences.
Goldstein, who has been performing professionally for 60 years and has 455 tracks on Spotify, was educated at Tel Aviv University School of Music in Israel; The Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria; and Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. He is well known for his beautiful piano arrangements and has produced 15 collections of piano sheet music. Read more about Goldstein here.
Joy is an accomplished violinist and vocalist. She starred in her first operetta at the age of 13, which earned her the titles of Best Actress and Best Singer at the National Jr. Honor Society. She was awarded a music scholarship to Brigham Young University where she earned a degree in music. She has also shared the stage with Grammy Award Winner Billy Dean, NBA Star Thurl Bailey, Merrill Osmond, and George Dyer. Read more about Joy here.
Goldstein and Joy are thrilled to welcome local Rexburg music standouts Aidyn Kunz and McKinley Rose Judd as openers for the concert, which will be hosted by presenter Thomas Scott.
